LGBTQ Creative Network

Updated: Mar 7

It is a pleasure to welcome Kenney Fitzpatrick as a speaker at the upcoming Supernova Conference. His dedication to advocacy and creativity is truly inspiring!

Kenney is an educator and dedicated practitioner of community service, youth advocacy, and lifelong learning. Having spent 25 years working with students in the post-secondary education sector, Kenney has now shifted to combine his love of the arts and his work in education and advocacy to create new projects of support for LGBTQ artists with his non-profit organizationThe Q LGBTQ Creative Network. Working with the distinct needs and challenges of LGBTQ artists at the forefront, his mission is to support queer artists by advocating for stronger, more accurate representation within the industry, as well as providing programs, media, events, opportunities, and platforms for artists to be heard and seen.

By day, Kenney is the current Executive Director of Dance Nova Scotia and works to shine a spotlight on the diversity of culture, tradition, and genre that is represented in dance across Nova Scotia. When not working on various projects, interviewing artists, hosting his weekly OUT LOUD radio show and Podcast, he tries to relax. If the weather is nice, you will probably find him on a patio, beach, or golf course. He say's that he's not a great golfer, but drives a mean cart.🛺💨
